“Every person deserves to be heard, understood, and defended with dignity.”
— Attorney Valeriya Holdshteyn
Specialist in Immigration, Family & Citizenship Law
Hello, I’m Valeriya Holdshteyn — an attorney with an international background and extensive experience in protecting people’s rights.
My mission?
To combine legal expertise with a human approach — offering clear, multilingual, and accessible legal support to those who are often left to face complex situations alone.
I work closely with interpreters, intercultural mediators, law firms, and trusted professionals to ensure reliable and comprehensive assistance, both in Italy and abroad.
Mine started far from here.
I was born in Ukraine and studied law in two different countries. When I arrived in Italy, I experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate documents, regulations, and cultural barriers.
I didn’t know the system. The language was a challenge. Everything was new.
That is exactly where my decision was born — to become a lawyer and help others facing the same difficulties.
Today, every time I guide someone through their legal journey, I remember where I started — and what it truly means to have someone by your side who genuinely listens.
Professional Experience & Legal Background
Throughout my career, I have developed solid expertise in immigration law, family law, and criminal law, assisting both Italian and foreign clients during some of the most delicate and life-changing moments.
Since 2016, I have been working in Campania, collaborating with law firms and focusing in particular on the protection of vulnerable individuals, victims of gender-based violence, and road accident cases.
For several years, I also worked as an intercultural mediator in penitentiary institutions across Campania, including high-security facilities. There, I supported the protection of detainees’ rights, facilitated communication with families, and worked closely with prison authorities.
This experience has deeply shaped the way I practice law — strengthening my commitment to listening, responsibility, and human-centered legal support.
Since 2022, I have been working independently, personally assisting my clients and providing dedicated, practical, and tailored legal services.
Education & Qualifications
My academic path spans both international and Italian legal systems, with a strong focus on human rights and immigration law.
In 2009, I obtained a degree in International Law from the International University of Kyiv, with a thesis focused on the protection of human rights in armed conflicts.
I later earned my Law Degree in Italy in 2020 from the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli.”
My thesis, “Immigration Law: Challenges and Perspectives,” reflects the core area of my professional activity today.
I further specialized in criminal enforcement law through a traineeship in Penitentiary Law and Supervisory Jurisdiction, and I obtained certification as a European Mediator for Intercultural and Family Cohesion — strengthening my ability to manage complex legal and human situations.
Qualification in Italy
& The difference lies in the details: listening, understanding, acting.
I became a lawyer to give a voice to those who often don’t have one.
For me, law is not just a profession — it is a mission: helping people in difficult situations regain security, rights, and hope.
I support every client with respect, clarity, and personal dedication — because no one should face the law alone.
